Bodmin's been on my list. This data makes it more appealing than just Beast hunting. The moor has genuine paranormal history that gets overshadowed by cryptid nonsense.

I'm in Stockport and I saw something similar around the same time! Bright light, silent, moving south. I assumed it was a late plane but you're right, the movement was off.

I've read through a lot of the Rendlesham files. The witness accounts are genuinely compelling - trained military personnel, consistent details, no obvious motive to lie.
Remember that piece in The Times last month that basically ridiculed our entire community? That article was genuinely insulting. But I do think some media interest can be good if done right.

BBC Nightwatch is entertainment first, investigation second. That's not necessarily bad - some of their locations are excellent and the team seems genuinely curious.

Deep breath - this is almost certainly explainable. Three linear marks could be self-inflicted scratches you made in your sleep and forgot about, could be a reaction to something (detergent,...
I visited in 2019 and honestly? Nothing happened. It's a field. There's a memorial, some foundations visible, and that's it.
I'd love access to Borley, but the paranormal activity seems to have significantly decreased over the years. Maybe that's because the rectory's gone, or maybe whatever was happening has moved on.

The burnt plastic smell is intriguing but also could be genuine ordnance testing - RAF bases weren't exactly environmentally friendly in the 80s.

Also, their medium was doing some cold reading that I clocked immediately as classic technique. Every paranormal show does this.

Two stops before Tottenham Court Road, I saw - and I'm being completely serious here - what looked like a Victorian-era woman This is brilliant.

Been wanting an excuse to get back to Bodmin for ages. If there's a coordinated investigation happening, I'm interested. What specific areas are showing the anomalies?

Honestly, save up for a second-hand proper thermal camera. I bought a Flir E8 on eBay for £800 and it's infinitely better than any DIY setup. You can get older models cheap enough now.

Family stories are brilliant because there's no film crew, no pressure to prove anything, just memory and the weight of someone's word. That's worth something.

I wake up and my sheets are soaked through Night sweats combined with paralysis and nightmares can sometimes indicate sleep apnoea or anxiety disorder.
This is why I never talk to media. Let them think whatever they want. The real work happens in the field anyway, not on telly. Appreciate the warning though, especially about the fake BBC teams.

South West represent! There's actually a few of us who've met up for pub nights in Exeter if you're interested? Nothing cult-like, just paranormal enthusiasts having a pint and comparing notes.

My uncle claims he and a mate saw a full apparition of a woman at Borley Rectory during a visit in the 80s. Just... saw her, clear as day, walking through a wall.

I'm near Glossop and at around 9:15 PM last night I saw a very bright, steady white light moving slowly across the sky from north to south.
I had a go at this about two years ago using a Flir Lepton sensor and it was... okay. Cheaper yes, but the spatial resolution isn't great and the software is clunky.
