Right, I'm posting this because I want to see if anyone else experienced or heard about something on the Central Line between Bank and Tottenham Court Road on Tuesday evening around 8:15 PM. I was on my way home after work, pretty packed carriage, bit warm, standard Tuesday vibes.

Two stops before Tottenham Court Road, I saw - and I'm being completely serious here - what looked like a Victorian-era woman standing by the doors. Dressed head to toe in black, face extremely pale, just staring straight ahead. Most people didn't notice, but a bloke next to me definitely clocked it because he moved seats. When the doors opened at the next stop, I looked round and she was gone. Completely vanished. No way she got off in that crowd.

I've been riding the Tube for ten years and never experienced anything like it. Has anyone else had a London Underground encounter? Or seen anything about unexplained incidents on the Central Line recently?

The London Underground is absolutely rife with paranormal activity. There's the fact that hundreds of people died during the Blitz in the stations, plus all the Victorian-era workers who perished building the tunnels. If anywhere's haunted in London, it's the Tube. You might've seen one of the spirits who died down there. Proper chilling experience, mate.

Did you check the TFL website or local news to see if there were any reported incidents that evening? Sometimes when something genuinely spooky happens on the Tube, there's a quiet delay reported or staff acting strangely. Worth checking. Also, could've been someone in fancy dress or cosplay, though the timing's dodgy.

This is brilliant. The Tube is the most documented haunted transport network in the world. There's loads of reports from drivers and late-night staff about figures on the tracks or in empty carriages. I'd love to know if anyone else from that carriage comes forward. Post it on some London-specific forums too.

Busses, trains, crowded spaces full of stressed people - our brains aren't built to process everything in those conditions. The mind fills in gaps. You probably saw someone normally dressed but your tired commuter brain made a whole narrative out of it. Happens to me all the time when I'm knackered.

The Central Line is genuinely haunted, yeah. My mate who works for TFL says staff absolutely refuse to do certain maintenance shifts on certain sections. I'd recommend contacting some of the paranormal teams that specialize in urban investigations. They might be interested in documenting the Central Line more thoroughly.

Could you describe what specifically made her look Victorian? The cut of the dress, the hair? That would help narrow down if it's a specific documented haunting or a new report. Also, did you feel any temperature change or weird sensations? Sometimes people report those alongside sightings.
