Bodmin's a known hotspot. The RAF base at St Mawgan isn't far away, and they do a lot of training exercises over the moor. Could've been a military drone or a classified aircraft test.

Aldwych is genuinely unsettling even with the lights on and staff present. I did one of the official heritage tours and even the tour guide mentioned that staff have reported unusual stuff.

One tip: when you're skeptical of someone's experience, ask 'what would convince you otherwise?' rather than 'prove it.' Changes the whole tone of the conversation from confrontation to curiosity.
Could be a community event or gathering in the area? Pagan groups, music festivals, that sort of thing? Hebden Bridge has a bit of a New Age community. Might be worth asking around locally.
Could be a neighbour through the wall with similar acoustic properties? Certain flats in Salford have absolutely dire sound insulation.

This is going to sound mad, so I'm just going to lay it out straight.Mid-September, I was alone in my two-bed in Salford.

Posting this because I found another similar report from that same night and I want to see if there were more.On October 28th, approximately 8:15 PM, I was walking across Bodmin Moor near Dozmary...
Great intro post. Just participate respectfully and you'll be grand. We need skeptics here to keep things honest.

I was there! I didn't see the greenish glow myself but I definitely felt something weird when the lights flickered. My ears popped a bit, like pressure change.

I know most of the abandoned London Underground stations are technically off-limits and you need permission to visit them, but some of them are semi-accessible depending on how determined you...
Your neighbour might be right about the foxes. But also - and I mean this kindly - have you had your hearing checked recently?

Foxes make some seriously weird sounds actually. Screaming, chattering, all sorts of noise. And if there's a group of them, it can sound almost coordinated.

Almost certainly TfL maintenance or a fault with the signalling system. The Underground's Victorian in some places and held together with duct tape and prayer.

I've had similar experiences in old buildings. I think there's genuinely something about derelict places that affects perception.

Have you tried requesting specific documents rather than general protocols? Might get better results. Also check the National Archives direct - some stuff filters through there eventually.

People are reporting genuine phenomena and you're turning it into a joke. Mate, if we didn't laugh about it we'd all go mad.

The Haunted Locations subforum is probably good for a scientist type. Lots of documented historical cases with actual evidence trails.

This happened last Wednesday evening (17th inst.) around 7:15pm at King's Cross St Pancras station. I was waiting on the Northern Line platform and the lights flickered - normal for the...

Nice work but this is exactly the kind of dismissive nonsense that makes skeptics look bad. People are reporting genuine phenomena and you're turning it into a joke. Some of us take this seriously.
