Posting this because I found another similar report from that same night and I want to see if there were more.

On October 28th, approximately 8:15 PM, I was walking across Bodmin Moor near Dozmary Pool (if you know the area). Clear evening, decent visibility, maybe a hundred metres visibility in all directions due to the moorland terrain.

I saw what I initially thought was a helicopter crossing the moor from north to south. No, wait - there was no sound. And it was moving too fast. And the light signature was wrong - pure white, not the standard red-green-white pattern of aircraft navigation lights.

I watched it for maybe forty seconds as it moved across my line of sight. No visible structure, just the light. It didn't follow a predictable trajectory. It seemed to shift slightly side-to-side as it moved. Then it accelerated sharply and vanished into the low cloud cover.

I noted the time and location, drove back to my car, and immediately looked online. Found exactly one report on a Cornish paranormal Facebook group from someone claiming they saw "something unusual" over Bodmin around that time. No details, though.

Does anyone else have reports from that night?

Bodmin's a known hotspot. The RAF base at St Mawgan isn't far away, and they do a lot of training exercises over the moor. Could've been a military drone or a classified aircraft test. The lack of sound would fit with some of the newer stealth platforms.

I wasn't there that night but I was on Bodmin in early October and saw something similar. Single white light, no sound, moved in a way that seemed intelligent. The thing that gets me is that Bodmin's been reporting these sightings for decades. There's a pattern there that suggests it's not random military activity.

Dozmary Pool area is historically significant - there's the Arthurian connection, the fact that it's been a pilgrimage site for centuries. Some researchers think that certain locations have higher paranormal or UFO activity tied to their historical or geological significance. Might be worth looking at the geological surveys for that area.

Did you have a torch with you? If you did, did you try signalling it? Some researchers report that UAPs respond to light signals. Obviously might be confirmation bias, but if you're ever back there, worth experimenting with.

I'd suggest reporting this to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) UK section. They've got researchers specifically tracking Cornish sightings. The more reports they have from the same area and timeframe, the better they can analyse the data.
