Seasonal patterns absolutely exist in paranormal reporting. Winter has more activity, autumn has more activity, spring equinox has activity spikes.

Don't bother with a camera initially - phone camera in low light is rubbish anyway. Get comfortable just watching and learning the sky first.

She should not go to anyone official first. Recommend a private paranormal investigator - there are legitimate ones in London who document cases properly without being sensationalist.
