I've been sitting on this for 26 years because it sounds absolutely mental, but I need to tell someone who won't immediately think I've lost the plot. This happened when I was driving back from Plymouth to London after a late shift at a logistics company.

Around 3:47 AM (I remember checking the clock), somewhere between Bodmin and Launceston, my car just... died. Engine cut out, lights off, radio static. I coasted onto the hard shoulder and stepped out. The whole road was completely silent - no crickets, no wind, nothing. The sky had this sort of greenish tint to it, which is mental because it was a clear night with stars.

I saw something hovering about 200 metres away in a field, roughly triangular but with a strange shimmer effect. I watched it for what felt like ten minutes but my watch showed only 90 seconds had passed. Then it shot upwards and my car started again immediately. The clock showed 4:12 AM.

I've never told anyone in real life because I work in engineering and I'd be absolutely rubbished at work. But I've seen the Bodmin Moor sightings referenced here before, and I wonder if this was part of the same flap?

The time discrepancy is classic missing time - that's a proper hallmark of genuine contact experiences. And you're right, Bodmin had a major flap in 1997-98, which lines up perfectly with your date. The A30 corridor seems to have unusual activity. Did you notice any physical effects afterwards? Burns, rashes, electronics behaving oddly?

This is known as the Hum phenomenon and appears in nearly every significant sighting report. It's like whatever's causing the disturbance also dampens ambient sound. There's a whole section in the Disclosure archives about electromagnetic interference affecting both biological and mechanical systems. Fascinating stuff.

Respectfully, mate, there are a lot of explanations here. Tiredness at 3:47 AM after a shift? Your watch could've been broken. The greenish sky could be light pollution or your eyes adjusting to darkness. Missing time is just memory being unreliable. Not saying you're lying, but sleep deprivation is a hell of a drug.

The engineering scepticism is actually brilliant - means you've got a technical mind that can describe what you saw with precision rather than getting lost in the mystical language. You noticed your watch, the time, the distance, the shape. That's the kind of detail investigators want. Have you ever reported it to MUFON or the BRITs?

Bodmin absolutely had something going on. I'm from St Austell and my uncle swears he saw three separate incidents in 1998 alone. Local press called them "phantom cats" but that's cover story nonsense. The electromagnetic effects on vehicles are well-documented. Recommend keeping a diary going forward - might spot patterns.
