I'm still not entirely sure what I saw but I need to write this down properly because I keep replaying it in my head and it's doing my head in.

The incident: Halloween night, 31st October 2023. I was out on Bodmin Moor with my partner Sarah and our mate Dave around 6 PM - still had some ambient light left but getting dark fast. We were doing a casual exploration, nothing serious, just hiking and taking photos. Bodmin's got a reputation for high strangeness and honestly, it seemed like a laugh.

Around 7:15 PM, we were heading back toward the car park when Sarah said she felt "watched." Dave reckoned it was just the atmosphere getting to us. But then I saw it - something moving parallel to us through the gorse, maybe 20 meters away. Not a person, not a deer. Too tall, wrong proportions. When I pointed it out, it stopped moving and I swear to God it was looking at us. Dave got a photo but it's rubbish - just a blur of brown and black.

We walked quickly back to the car and drove off. Nothing dramatic happened but all three of us felt uneasy for the rest of the evening. Sarah had nightmares. More unsettling: for about a week afterward, I felt like something was present in my flat. Not aggressive, just... present. The feeling faded by mid-November but it was properly eerie.

Has anyone else had experiences where something seems to have followed them from a paranormal hotspot? Or am I just being a drama queen?

Bodmin Moor is absolutely rife with activity. There's been reports of Black Shuck, ABCs, UFOs, basically everything. The fact that all three of you felt something is significant - harder to dismiss as individual perception when multiple witnesses agree. That said, the feeling of presence in your flat afterward is the interesting bit. Did anything else happen? Objects moving, strange sounds, electrical glitches?

Post the photo Dave took if you can. Even blurry images sometimes reveal details you miss at first glance. Also, take the skepticism here with a grain of salt - there's always someone who'll explain it away as a large dog or the wind in the heather. You three know what you saw. Trust that.

The "feeling of presence" lasting a week is classic parasitic entity attachment. Not trying to scare you, but if it happens again you might want to do a cleansing - salt lines around your bed, maybe get some sage. Bodmin has a lot of thin places and sometimes things come through. Glad whatever it was seems to have moved on.

Right, or it could be a perfectly normal psychological response to a spooky experience on Halloween. You went to a place with a reputation for weirdness, saw something ambiguous in low light, got spooked, and then interpreted normal house sounds as paranormal for a week. Occam's Razor suggests the simpler explanation.

I'm genuinely curious about the photo. Upload it - even if it's blurry, sometimes other people spot details you missed. Also, did you have any electrical issues during that week of presence? Phone batteries draining? Lights flickering? That can help narrow down whether something unusual was actually happening or if it was psychological.

Bodmin's reputation isn't made up out of nothing. There IS something about that area that produces consistent reports over decades. Whether it's a physical creature, paranormal activity, or some kind of environmental phenomenon that affects perception - something is happening there. Your experience slots neatly into the pattern.
