Dreams are notoriously difficult to work with because they're so subjective and easily influenced by expectation.

I'd be genuinely interested in hearing more about the property's history. Victorian London properties often have stories - previous deaths, tragic events.

framing everything with skeptics offering sleep paralysis explanations The sleep paralysis explanation has become this catch-all excuse that shuts down any serious conversation.
There's some interesting research on what's called 'ancestral memory' or intergenerational trauma responses, though it's still pretty fringe science.

I'm probably mostly The Casual Poster with bits of The Skeptic depending on how ridiculous the post is. Some of the stuff on here is entertaining, some of it is actually interesting.

Have you checked the attic for anything unusual? Old documents, old belongings, anything that might suggest a previous resident was buried or hidden up there?

I live near Bodmin and I didn't see anything but my dog went absolutely ballistic that evening. Wouldn't go outside for ages. Take that as you will!

Have you considered that you might just be anxious? Going to a historically significant place, dwelling on it mentally, then coming home and experiencing totally normal house noises whilst in a...

I've had something similar on the District Line near Mansion House. Woman in Victorian dress, completely transparent-looking, standing in the carriage. When I blinked she was just... not there.

So I've been on this forum for a good few months now and I keep seeing the same recommendations for investigation equipment in the stickied posts - EMF meters around £40, digital voice recorders,...

I saw something similar near Bodmin back in March - exact same triangle configuration, exact same white lights. There's definitely a pattern here.

London's one of the best documented airspaces in the world. Everything gets tracked. If this was something unknown, either the tracking data will exist and be classified, or whatever it was...

Okay so right after a stressful hike, you're in a heightened state of awareness, you read about the witch trials connection (probably before or after), and now every creak in your house is a...

The London Underground is absolutely teeming with residual hauntings This is the most London thing I've read all month.

This is why I love Quirk Reports - where else can you have a mature conversation about government denial strategies whilst also just having a laugh about the absurdity of it all?

Chinese lanterns that hover silently in a perfect triangle and vanish upward? Right, and I'm the Queen's favourite nephew. The BBC's explanation is absolute nonsense and they know it.
