it seems to go mental every time I'm near my router or my laptop That's exactly what you'd expect. Modern electronics are EMF factories.

This is exactly what I've been saying would happen. Since the US got serious about UFO transparency (the Pentagon reports, the Congressional hearings), the UK government's getting nervous about...
Spent the last three weeks hiking sections of the Pennine Way (Yorkshire moors, mostly between Malham and Pen-y-ghent) as part of a cryptid survey.
The best investigations I've done have been low-tech - just patience, observation, documentation, and talking to people who've experienced stuff.

The Internet Researcher - Spends 4 hours googling something after seeing it mentioned once on here, then returns with a Wikipedia link and acts like they've done serious investigative work.

My mum mentioned my grandmother had reported strange lights in the Highlands back in the 1960s Have you tried finding more information about what your grandmother experienced?
The historical context matters here. Pendle Hill is where they executed innocent people for witchcraft. That kind of injustice leaves a mark.

If you genuinely feel something followed you, the best first step is actually cleansing your space - salt lines on windowsills, opening all the windows for fresh air, maybe burning some sage.

Try leaving something as an offering Blimey, are we seriously recommending bribing ghosts now? Next we'll be telling him to leave out a cup of tea.
