Caught something absolutely bizarre on my mobile yesterday afternoon (28th Nov, around 14:45) whilst sitting in my garden in Walthamstow. I was filming my nephew playing football when something moved across the sky in the background. It's quite clear in the video - definitely something structured, not a bird or balloon, and it moved in ways that don't match conventional aircraft.

The strange bit? Loads of people must have seen it given how populated London is and how clear it was. But I've checked the news, aviation forums, social media - nothing. No reports, no explanations, no aviation incidents filed. Radio silence completely.

The object was roughly over the direction of London City Airport, heading east. Absolutely silent. Moved smoothly but with what looked like deliberate course adjustments. I've got the video saved in multiple places and I'm uploading it to MUFON and BUFOD today, but wanted to post it here first in case anyone else caught it or has context.

Has anyone else seen this or heard about incidents over London yesterday?

Upload the video mate. The fact that nothing's been reported officially is interesting - either loads of people saw it and aren't reporting it (which happens more than you'd think out of embarrassment) or very few people were looking up at that moment. Either way, your footage is valuable.

London City Airport's heavily monitored airspace. If it was anything that matched conventional explanations, there would be official documentation. The silence might actually confirm this was genuinely anomalous. Good instinct to get it recorded properly with MUFON.

What specific movements are you talking about? Smooth turns, hovering, acceleration? That detail matters for classification.

I was at my mate's place in Leytonstone yesterday around that time and didn't see anything, but I wasn't specifically watching the sky. The fact you've got video is great though - that's more than most sightings have. Make sure the metadata's preserved when you upload.

London's one of the best documented airspaces in the world. Everything gets tracked. If this was something unknown, either the tracking data will exist and be classified, or whatever it was deliberately avoided detection systems. Both scenarios are pretty significant.
