Strange lights over the Yorkshire moors last night - absolutely not a plane

I was out walking the dog near Haworth around 10:15 PM last Tuesday when I saw something that properly shook me up. Three bright white lights in a perfect triangle formation, hovering silently over the moors maybe a kilometre away. They weren't moving like a helicopter or plane - just hanging there, completely still, for about two minutes.

The lights were incredibly bright, harsh white, and every so often one of them would dim slightly as if cycling. My dog went absolutely mental, which he never does. Then without any gradual movement, all three lights just... vanished. Not like they flew off - they literally just switched off. I looked for ages to see if they'd reappear but nothing.

I know how this sounds, but I've lived in Yorkshire all my life and I've never seen anything like it. Has anyone else spotted anything unusual in that area recently?

What date/time exactly? I ask because there was a meteor shower visible that night - might've been debris catching the light in an unusual way? The triangle formation is what's throwing me though, that's not standard meteor behaviour.

Probably just the new RAF test flights they've been doing near Dishforth. They've been trialling some new surveillance drones that have unusual lighting configurations. MoD doesn't advertise it obviously but there's been chatter on the aviation forums about it.

I saw something similar near Bodmin back in March - exact same triangle configuration, exact same white lights. There's definitely a pattern here. The MoD drone explanation is cover-story stuff if you ask me. We've got visitors, mate.

Did you try recording it on your phone? If not, I'd suggest next time you see something unusual, get footage immediately. The number of these reports with zero video evidence is staggering. Not saying you're making it up, just that without documentation it's all anecdotal.
