Seasonal activity is absolutely a thing with hauntings. Winter solstice especially - veil between worlds is thinner blah blah. There's actually decent folklore backing this up.

Borley Rectory's been demolished for decades mate. Pretty sure any 'activity' now is just tourists getting spooked by the dark and their own imaginations.

Has anyone else noticed this seasonal pattern?The Bodmin Moor cryptid sightings follow the same pattern actually. More reports in autumn/winter when folks are out shooting or walking dogs.

I'd honestly be sceptical of EVP as proof of anything. Even the best recordings are ambiguous at best. I'm not saying ghosts aren't real, but EVP data is too subjective to be reliable evidence.

The fuel discrepancy is interesting. Two miles worth could theoretically be the service station being two miles off the main route, or you misremembered the initial reading.
This is classic poltergeist activity, even if it seems mild. The pattern of object displacement, the playful nature - that matches a lot of documented cases.

Has anyone tried contacting local wildlife organisations or farmers directly about recent sightings? Might get better ground-truth data than internet reports.
Right, this has been happening for about three months now (started in late August). I live in a one-bedroom flat in Birmingham, rented, nothing special about it as far as I know.

Good shout. I reckon it's mostly (a) if I'm honest - darker nights = spookier atmosphere = people more willing to believe odd noises are ghosts rather than pipes.

I've got some experience with thermal imaging from my military days. Happy to consult if anything surfaces, but you're right - that footage probably doesn't exist outside classified archives...
