Hello everyone! I'm Sarah, based in Edinburgh, and I've just signed up after finding this forum recommended on Reddit. I've been doing independent paranormal research for about eight years now, mostly focused on Scottish Highlands phenomena. I've got about 200 hours of audio recordings, some photographs, and a lot of documentation that I'd love to eventually share with the community if that's appropriate.

Before I start posting all over the place, I wanted to ask: what are the posting guidelines around sharing original research? Do you have any rules about verification or peer review? I'm quite keen to contribute meaningfully rather than just posting anecdotes. Also, are there any other Scottish researchers on here?

Cheers, and looking forward to being part of the community!

Welcome Sarah! Great to have someone with actual research methodology - you'd be amazed how rare that is. For sharing original research, check out the 'Resources & Research' forum (I think there's a pinned post about procedures). Generally, we ask people to be transparent about methodology and data sources. Feel free to DM me if you want to chat about Scottish research - I've got family in Inverness and we've documented some interesting stuff up there.

Eight years of investigation is brilliant. There's a few Scottish members - not loads, but we have a loose 'regional groups' thing happening now. I'll flag you to the mod and they can add you to the Scotland chat if you want. Always good to have researchers who actually know what they're doing.

Just a gentle warning: some of the audio/photo stuff you share will get skeptically examined. That's not a bad thing though - keeps everyone honest. Look forward to your contributions!
