Right, hello everyone. Just signed up and looking forward to joining the community here. I'm from West Yorkshire, spent the last few years exploring the moors near Ilkley and Addingham, and I've...
Been thinking about this for a while and wondering what the consensus is on the forum. You've got Stonehenge aligning to solstices, Newgrange with its winter solstice illumination, the Egyptian...
Most cheap meters aren't shielded properly, so you get environmental interference. This is so important and people don't realize it.

I live near King's Cross and was actually on the Piccadilly that evening, different train though. Didn't see anything unusual from above ground, but Underground sightings wouldn't necessarily be...

Good breakdown. One thing to add: get familiar with identifying conventional objects first. Spend a month just recording known satellites, aircraft, meteorites.

Could be a lynx? Scotland's got breeding populations now (or allegedly, the government denies it of course). Lynx are the size of a large dog though, not sure they'd leave claw marks like that.
Hebden Bridge area's got a lot of history with strange occurrences actually. There's documented sightings going back centuries.
Keep a log of when things move. Dates, times, what moved, anything else that was happening. Three months of data could show a pattern.

Honestly, night investigations should be treated like proper fieldwork. Warm clothing, adequate food, water, and emergency supplies.

Sounds like you've got a polite ghost mate. Have you considered just cohabiting with it? If it's not aggressive and you're not in danger, honestly some people just accept it and move on.

I've had decent results with a GQ EMF-390. It's about £45-50 depending on where you buy it. Three-axis, data logging to USB, better sensitivity than the TriField.

Posting this because I genuinely don't know what I saw, and I'm tired of my mates taking the piss.June 21st, about 11 PM (summer solstice, though I didn't think much of it at the time).
Get checked by a doctor for sure, but also explore the abduction angle properly. Look into MUFON UK's abduction research. They have experienced investigators who can help without judgment.
I monitor between 10 PM and 3 AM, four nights a week. In eighteen months I've captured some genuinely unexplained phenomena This is what I want to hear about. What kind of phenomena?

Good breakdown. I've been using a TriField for three years and it's still my go-to for initial site surveys.

I've tried asking out loud if anyone's there, speaking respectfully, leaving objects out deliberately. Be careful with that approach.

Mate, the real paranormal phenomenon is watching people convince themselves they've seen ghosts when they're actually experiencing hypothermia and low blood sugar. Good shout on the snacks.

Could be electrical arcing from the rails? The Underground's got some ancient infrastructure in places.
