Thermal imaging from Rendlesham Forest circa 1980 - someone needs to look at this properly

I've been digging through archives and found reference to thermal imaging data allegedly collected during the Rendlesham Forest incident that's never been properly analyzed by the paranormal community. The official stuff we have is grainy 8mm film and eyewitness accounts.

There's mention in a declassified memo of 'heat signature recording' but the actual footage has never surfaced publicly. Either it doesn't exist, it's been destroyed, or it's classified to buggery.

What I'm wondering: has anyone in the community got expertise in thermal imaging analysis from that era? If that footage ever surfaces, we'd need people who understand 1980s thermal tech and can speak authoritatively about what would or wouldn't show up on that equipment.

I know this is probably a dead end, but figured it was worth asking. The gap between what we know was recorded and what's publicly available is suspicious enough to merit attention.

I've got some experience with thermal imaging from my military days. Happy to consult if anything surfaces, but you're right - that footage probably doesn't exist outside classified archives anymore. The memo might've just been bureaucratic procedure documentation rather than evidence of actual recordings.

This is interesting because it highlights a broader pattern: every major incident has 'recordings' or 'evidence' that allegedly exists but never materializes. Could mean anything from destroyed records to complete fabrication to genuine suppression. Almost impossible to tell.

Someone should FOIA request the specific memo you're referencing. If the recordings existed and were destroyed, the destruction log would show up. If they're still classified, you get a lovely Glomar response. Either way, you learn something.
