Saw three distinct objects moving in formation Could've been Chinese lanterns? I'm not being a dick, genuinely asking. The formation flying is interesting though.

The Bodmin Beast has been a thing since at least the 1980s. There's a whole folklore around it. Your encounter sounds genuinely unsettling.

That's actually a really good instinct - better to supervise than have him sneaking around abandoned buildings with his mates. I'd say focus on the scientific method side of things.

Book the legitimate tour. You get the atmosphere and the history without the risk of being arrested or dying in a tunnel. Win-win.

I've been reading through the Rendlesham Forest incident files (1980) yet again and I noticed something that barely gets mentioned.
I've been looking at those commercial EMF meters and they're all like £80-150 minimum, which seems mental for what is basically just a sensor and some lights.
where ghost hunting groups go into a location, turn off all equipment and just sit in silence This is basically meditation in a haunted building and then confirming every tiny sound is a ghost.

Right, so I'm basically skint but I wanted to start doing some actual investigation work rather than just reading about it online.

What got you interested in the topic originally if nothing's happened to you personally? Is it the mystery aspect, the philosophy, something else?

My lad's 15 and he's got genuinely interested in the paranormal after watching some YouTube stuff. Rather than let him go off doing daft things unsupervised with his mates, I thought it'd be...
Welcome aboard, Ross. You're not mental and you're definitely not alone. Vehicle interference incidents are actually one of the most commonly reported phenomena across multiple forums and...

Welcome Daniel. Fair warning - you will eventually read something that makes you go 'huh, actually that's harder to dismiss than I thought'. That's kind of how this works.
The 'it weighed more than it should' description is actually really common in cryptid sightings. People consistently report a sense of density or heaviness.

I've done them and honestly, some of the most interesting activity I've experienced has been during silent sessions.
