Winter solstice skywatching guide - best sites in UK and what to look for
You don't need much - binoculars (decent 10x50 Celestron, around £80-120) and a red torch to preserve night vision.Any recommendations for recording equipment?

Why is Parliament suddenly interested in UFO regulation?
You're probably reading too much into bureaucratic shuffling. Parliament is always having committee meetings about various things.

Spring-heeled Jack - recent activity in East London?
Report it to the police as well, even if they won't take the paranormal angle seriously. If there's someone actually jumping between buildings at height, that's a genuine safety hazard regardless...

What's everyone investigating this winter? Share your plans!
Honestly just doing general exploration of the London Underground tunnels (the "legal" bits obviously!) and documenting historical hauntings in Zone 1.

Broad Street Station (1952) - my grandfather's unreported experience
they'd be sacked for being drunk or mad This is why we don't have better paranormal records from historical periods - institutional silencing. Railway workers saw all sorts in those tunnels.

Black cats the size of bloody sheep on the Yorkshire moors - anyone else?
Right, I know this sounds mental but I've got to ask. Been walking the moors near Hebden Bridge most evenings since the clocks went back, and I've spotted what I can only describe as a massive...

Thermal imaging camera comparison: seek vs flir
I've used thermal on about thirty investigations and I've found exactly zero inexplicable temperature anomalies. Lots of explainable ones (exposed walls, windows, pipes).

New verification system for sightings reports - please read
This is how proper forums operate. Reddit's paranormal communities suffer because everything's treated equally. Skeptical about whether it'll change much but I support the effort.

Something followed me home from Bodmin Moor - still not sure what it was
Right, this has been bugging me for weeks so I thought I'd finally post about it. Last month (27th October, around 9:30 PM) I was driving back from a mate's cottage near Bodmin after a terrible...

Anyone regularly visit the abandoned station on the Piccadilly Line? Very strange activity reported.
If you're organizing this, I'm interested in joining. I've got some decent EMF meters and a thermal camera that might pick up something if there's unusual activity.

Anyone Still Believe the MoD Actually Investigated UFOs Properly? New FOIA Request Results...
Right, so I submitted an FOIA request to the MoD about three months ago regarding their UFO investigation protocols and what actually happened to the physical evidence from major incidents...

Every paranormal debate ever, in one sentence
FunnyBunny_Lou: You forgot "I've got anecdotal evidence from a paranormal Facebook group with 50 members." and "The government is covering it up, which is why I'm telling everyone on the internet."

Borley Rectory (again) - why are we still obsessed with a debunked site?
Because Borley Rectory is a good story, and good stories matter in this community. You're right that Price was problematic - his journals show clear confirmation bias.

Has anyone actually read the Rendlesham Forest files? Or just the hype around them?
DocumentAnalyst_Martin: Thank you. Someone needed to say this. The Rendlesham case is genuinely interesting because it's unexplained, not because it necessarily proves aliens.

First proper EVP session - got something I can't explain
That said, you're doing the right thing by documenting everything and asking for external verification. Try uploading the audio file again.
