I'd recommend: thermal camera (non-negotiable), audio recorder (essential for EVP work), flashlight with good batteries, notebook. That's genuinely enough to do meaningful investigation.

A friend's cousin sent me this photograph apparently taken near Rendlesham Forest (Suffolk area) last week. He claims he saw a formation of lights moving in unison, then they sort of... dissolved?
Could we have a mod-approved 'Debunked' tag or category? The problem is defining 'debunked.' One person's thorough explanation is another person's cover-up narrative. Could get messy fast.
Fair criticism but Quirk Reports is actually one of the better communities - moderation's decent and we've got enough actual skeptics to keep the believers honest.

Strong agree. I spent four hours last week reading through a UFO sighting thread only to discover the object in question had been publicly confirmed as a Chinese satellite by a professional...

Never saw anything clearly, but I could feel something large and warm nearby. This is actually more convincing to me than a visual sighting, honestly.

The Borley legend is honestly more interesting than the actual location at this point. Most of the 'hauntings' were either embellished or outright fabricated by the reverend himself for attention.

The battery thing is interesting though. There's genuinely some research (from Skinwalker Ranch investigations) suggesting high electromagnetic activity around large cryptids.

Has anyone actually read the peer-reviewed archaeology on this? Because there's decades of research showing how Neolithic communities organised labour, transported materials, and constructed...
Evening folks. Got a doorbell camera footage from about 2am last Saturday that's got me genuinely unsettled.

Disagree with the 'escaped pet' conclusion. There's no documented evidence of a big cat purchase or escape in that area at that time.

it seems to have just... stopped? No proper verified reports in years. That's actually interesting from a cryptozoology perspective.

My grandfather passed away in 2008 but before he died he told me he was serving at RAF Bentwaters during the Rendlesham Forest incident in December 1980.

I visited Stonehenge last month and honestly the precision of the alignments is what gets me. It's not just heavy rocks - it's heavy rocks positioned with incredible accuracy relative to celestial...
The internet happened mate. Back in the day paranormal discussion was limited to actual researchers and serious enthusiasts.

Do I really need to spend £400 on an EMF meter? No. You can get a decent EMF meter for £60-80 that works fine. The expensive ones aren't dramatically better.
I've got family in Bodmin. The modern consensus is that it was real at some point (the sheep kills were documented), but it's definitely gone now.
