Evening folks. Got a doorbell camera footage from about 2am last Saturday that's got me genuinely unsettled. It shows something moving across my garden - roughly human-shaped but the movement is absolutely wrong. I'll describe it first before you see anything, so I'm not leading your interpretation.

It's about 5-6 feet tall, walks in a way that's too stiff, arms don't swing naturally. It's there for maybe 8 seconds, then just... continues off into the darkness between my house and the neighbour's. The resolution isn't perfect (it's 2am, security camera, you know), but I'm certain there's something genuinely odd about the gait.

Could be: (1) a person in a costume, (2) a tall person with an unusual gait, (3) something genuinely unidentified. I've got three cameras with footage - front door, side gate, back garden. Consistent appearance across all three angles.

Happy to share the video files if anyone's interested in proper analysis. I'm in the Midlands if location matters.

Upload to Reddit's r/whatisthisthing or r/tipofmytongue before posting here - they're better at identifying mundane explanations. Could be a neighbour, could be a fox on hind legs (genuinely can look humanoid), could be someone in bad weather gear with odd proportions.

the movement is absolutely wrong

This is probably down to camera angle, low light compensation, and 2am assumptions. Our brains are terrible at interpreting movement in security footage. Very keen to see the actual video though - link if you're comfortable sharing.

I'd analyse it. I've looked at probably 40+ doorbell camera 'paranormal' clips. Most are genuinely mundane once you understand camera optics and 2am perception. But every now and then there's something properly weird. Upload if you're willing.

The stiff gait could indicate someone with a medical condition, someone in protective gear (hazmat suit?), or someone deliberately moving unusually. Don't immediately jump to cryptid - boring explanations are usually correct.

Three angles is genuinely good documentation. That's more systematic than most reports. The fact that it appears consistently across multiple cameras suggests something physically present rather than an artifact or illusion. Deffo interested in seeing the footage.
