Borley Rectory - has anyone actually been there recently?

Right, so I've read literally everything about Borley Rectory. The ghost nun, the demonic voices, the whole lot. But I'm genuinely curious if anyone on here has actually visited the site in the last few years? I know the rectory itself burned down in 1939, but the grounds are still there, yeah?

I'm thinking of heading out to Suffolk next month to have a proper look around. Just want to know what to expect. Is it still private land? Are there any activity hotspots people have reported, or is it all just historical nonsense at this point?

Any locals on the forum who fancy joining me? Bring a torch, bring a mate, bring whatever recording equipment you've got. Could be a proper laugh, could be absolutely terrifying. Either way, beats sitting in the pub talking about normal things.

Mate, I drove past it about three years ago. Honestly, it's just fields now. Pretty underwhelming if I'm being honest. The energy does feel a bit off, but that could just be the weight of expectation, you know? The actual site isn't as dramatic as you'd think from reading Montague Summers' accounts.

Fair play for the enthusiasm, but fair warning - the current owners are not happy about paranormal investigators poking about. A mate of mine got chased off about five years back. You'd need proper permission, which they basically never give. I'd suggest contacting the local historical society instead - they're much more cooperative.

The Borley legend is honestly more interesting than the actual location at this point. Most of the 'hauntings' were either embellished or outright fabricated by the reverend himself for attention. Still worth visiting for the history, but don't go expecting possession-grade phenomena.

I've been twice. First time, absolutely nothing. Second time, my mobile went completely haywire - wouldn't hold a signal, camera kept freezing. Could've been technical issues, could've been something else. The vibes are definitely eerie though, even if it's just psychological.
