Rendlesham has had loads of sightings over the years but that's mostly 80s-90s stuff. Could just be someone in a strange coat, camera angle making them look tall.

About time. Half the posts in Sightings are just "weird thing happened, no details, believe me." This should help separate the serious investigators from the karma farmers. Good call.

This is brilliant. Proper creepy stuff. Please tell me you've got dashcam footage? Even if it doesn't show much, could be useful. Also - did you feel any sense of... wrongness?

A mate of mine works security at a caravan park about 3 miles from Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk. He's gone through months of CCTV and found something odd in a clip from last August.

Owston's got an interesting history actually. That mill you mentioned had a proper tragedy in the 1800s if I remember right - industrial accident?
Brilliant guide. Could you add a section about calibration? Might be useful for people who aren't super comfortable with electronics - what counts as a "normal" baseline reading, how to account...
The "weird ghost guy" role is honestly the best position to be in. Shows commitment. Get some of your material up in the Evidence forum and see what feedback you get.

Very interesting. The District Line has a lot of paranormal reports actually - Aldwych station especially, but various incidents across the whole line.
Chemistry degrees are genuinely useful for paranormal investigation - materials science, thermodynamics, electromagnetic theory. More useful than most people realize.
Welcome! Just a heads up: when you share recordings, people will ask a LOT of technical questions. They'll want to know what equipment you used, settings, whether you can replicate the sounds,...

At £349 it's pricey for what amounts to a fancy radio scanner Bit unfair though innit. It's not a radio scanner, it's specifically engineered for paranormal investigation.
Highland investigations are brilliant. Which areas have you focused on? Glencoe? Lochs? Some of that landscape has incredible paranormal reputation but it's poorly documented.

For the price point it's competing with proper ghost hunting equipment, not radio scanners. You're getting what you pay for in terms of design and durability even if the performance specs are...

Disagree on the audio quality - I think it sounds fine, you just don't like bass-heavy equipment. The software issues are valid though, I had the same problem.

After two years of moderating this forum, we've finally updated how we handle sighting reports. There's been increasing concern about unverified claims, hoaxes, and posts that lack any real...
Not weird at all. There's a whole wing of paranormal research focused on actual data analysis rather than spooky stories.

Not like I dozed off - it was instantaneous from my perspective That's what sleep feels like though. You don't experience the time passing.

Mate, if you check the TfL website it shows real-time journey info. Could actually verify whether the train even stopped at those intermediate stations.

I live near there and honestly the mist can play tricks on you. However, the radio/temp gauge issue is interesting. Did you get it checked out afterwards?

Could've been a lorry without its lights on, happens more often than you'd think on B-roads at night. Drivers fall asleep or forget to turn them on. Not everything paranormal, yeah?
