A mate of mine works security at a caravan park about 3 miles from Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk. He's gone through months of CCTV and found something odd in a clip from last August. The footage is grainy (typical CCTV bollocks) but shows what looks like a tall, impossibly thin figure moving across the car park around 2 AM. Not a person, we don't think - proportions are all wrong.

He's asked me not to post his name or the exact location yet, but he's willing to share the footage with serious investigators. Before I pass along details, I want to canvas the group - what are the most likely explanations? Pareidolia? Equipment malfunction? Something actually odd?

The interesting bit: that area's got a history. Rendlesham Forest is basically the British Roswell. Wondering if there's a pattern of activity. Anyone else got reports from that general area (Suffolk/Norfolk)?

Rendlesham has had loads of sightings over the years but that's mostly 80s-90s stuff. Could just be someone in a strange coat, camera angle making them look tall. CCTV footage is notoriously misleading - compression artifacts, motion blur, low resolution. Need to see it to say more.

Get him to check the timestamp. If the footage syncs with other weird activity reports in the area that same night, that's more interesting than just "weird figure on camera." Could be nothing, could be coincidence, but data patterns matter.

Definitely interested if he's willing to share. I'm not far from Rendlesham, would be happy to help investigate. Bring an actual forensics angle to it rather than just spooky speculation. But yeah, proportions being wrong is usually camera artifacts. Did your mate enhance the footage at all?

This is exactly the sort of thing that gets hyped up online and turns out to be a thermal imaging glitch or someone's nan in a dressing gown. Not saying it is, but the Rendlesham reputation sometimes makes people see what they expect to see. Would need multiple angles and confirmation before getting excited.

Can he check if there were any reported power outages that night? Or interference on other equipment? If it was something electromagnetic, other systems might've registered it too. CCTV footage alone isn't very convincing without corroboration.

Love that Rendlesham stuff. The 1980 incident is properly fascinating. Would absolutely want to see this footage, and if your mate's serious about investigating, there's a local group that's been documenting activity in the forest for years. Happy to put you in touch.
