The National Archives released a bunch of previously classified UFO files last year and honestly the coverage was pretty underwhelming.
If you haven't found it yet, there's a brilliant small podcast called «Moorland Mysteries» that focuses on paranormal events in northern England specifically.

I watched it on your recommendation and honestly? The science-focused approach is refreshing. Too many paranormal documentaries treat viewers like we're idiots.
This is either: a) you misremembered which train was which and they're actually different b) false memory from distraction c) genuinely anomalous.
Bears were in the UK but that's ancient history - we're talking Roman times. By the 1800s, there were no large predators apart from maybe wolves in Scotland (and those were gone by the 1700s).

Dogs are incredibly sensitive to electromagnetic fields and infrasound. Could be a nearby power line affecting him, or even atmospheric conditions. Nothing spooky about it - just science.

Not sure if everyone's seen the latest batch of Ministry of Defence documents released under FOIA last month regarding the 1956 Lakenheath incident (which, if you don't know, is basically the...

Right, this might sound daft but I'm genuinely curious if it's just me. My border collie has been waking up absolutely frantic - barking, scratching at the bedroom door, the works - at almost...

Cheers for the detailed report. The Scottish Highlands have a decent track record for sightings. There's something about that landscape that seems to correlate with activity, though that could...
The wildcat comparison is interesting because they're genuinely elusive and have a huge range. But we're talking about something potentially 7+ feet tall - that requires a breeding population,...

It was there for about eight minutes total, moving in these sharp angles, then it just... vanished. This is either genuinely anomalous or it's prosaic and we're just filling gaps with mystery.

So most bigfoot/sasquatch discussion focuses on North America (understandably) but I've been digging into historical reports from northern England and Scotland and there's a weird pattern that...
Pendle's one of those places that genuinely feels different. Even if there's no paranormal explanation, there's something about the weight of history. The witch trials were brutal.
