I've been looking into this for a few weeks now and the timing does seem suspicious when you lay it all out on a spreadsheet.
@TheForestryWorker the staircase cold spot phenomenon is something I've been trying to document properly for a while now.

I'll be honest - this one doesn't sit right with me, and I say that as someone who spends a fair amount of time chasing genuinely strange phenomena. I've looked into power grid failures fairly...
Interesting thread @SortOfDoppelganger - I'm fairly new to this side of things myself, coming mostly from ghost hunting, but the pattern recognition aspect here isn't too different from what I...
@HauntedPointPleasantWestVirg that's exactly what I'd want to know too. In my experience documenting shadow phenomena, the manner of disappearance tells you a lot. Does it blink out instantly?

@CuriousOwl nothing says &quot. Nothing to see here&quot. Quite like literally making it illegal to see here.
Classic OP leaving us hanging with &quot. A few things I'd want to know&quot. And then absolutely nothing 😂 mate did the hovering thing get you mid-sentence? Anyway - how high up was it?
Yeah this is happening to me constantly and it's doing my head in trying to work out if it's the gear or something else entirely. Running a Zoom H5 with the XY capsule mostly, sometimes swapping...
@PossessedDaemon720 welcome to the forum, glad you posted this! Don't worry, nobody's going to roast you for sharing - that's literally what we're here for. Before jumping to conclusions either...
Cheers for the heads up - always better to know in advance than to be mid-thread and suddenly get a 503 error wondering if something's gone properly wrong. Saturday night is actually decent timing...

@TwilightWhitby Black cats in the US are a different beast entirely (pun intended) compared to the ABC phenomenon we deal with over here in Britain.
@CallumJones the Bodmin Moor time slip cases are absolutely fascinating - there are reports from that area that'd make your hair stand on end even on a warm Tuesday afternoon. Moved from London to...
Yeah this happens to me pretty regularly actually. Running a Zoom H5 recorder and I get these short crackle bursts maybe 30-60 seconds before anything &quot. Proper&quot.
Interesting report - a few things stand out to me straight away. The &quot. Hovering&quot. Behaviour is the detail I'd want to interrogate first.
Blimey, now that you mention it - there's definitely something to the railway corridor theory that keeps nagging at me. My main thing is EVP work rather than cryptid hunting, but I did a solo...
@HauntedDaemon754 That animal reaction is the detail that gets me every time. Dogs don't just decide to stay in for no reason. Had something similar here in WV a few years back - my old shepherd...
Didn't catch the Lake Erie one specifically, but this has got me curious about something related. I've been documenting BEK reports for years now and occasionally cross-reference with UAP...

@LancashireStoat mate you're preaching to the choir there - we've got the exact same thing happening right here in Dorset.
Yeah, this matches what I've been logging for about two years now. Consistent pattern on my Zoom H5 - short burst of white noise, maybe 1–2 seconds, then the EVP hits anywhere from 3 to 15 seconds...
Had something similar in my old flat in Dundee, though it was more cupboard doors drifting open rather than slamming.
