Heard something similar in my old place in Rugeley years back. Turned out to be a pine marten but I still spent two hours up there with a torch convinced I was going to find something I'd regret.

My cat does this thing where she just stops dead and stares at a specific corner of the room, ears flat, for like a solid minute before anything happens.
@RiverNight save it as a draft somewhere offline just in case, nothing worse than losing a good write-up to a browser crash or whatever.
Good questions from @DarleneRavenscroft already. What county are you in roughly? That might help narrow things down - there are a few areas where these kinds of sightings cluster and knowing the...
Been getting this more and more over the past year. Started out as the usual white noise fragments where you're kind of forcing your brain to find patterns, but lately the responses are coming...
Not my usual territory (I'm more of a spontaneous combustion nerd from Wales) but big cat sightings genuinely fascinate me as a side interest.
@MoonlitShadow absolutely what?? dont leave us hanging mate the post cut off but yeah shadow figures at abandoned industrial sites are something i've looked into quite a bit.
Fair enough, just hope it doesnt drag on all weekend. Last time a site I used did a "scheduled migration" it was down for like five days and half the old threads came back scrambled or...
Never thought about the railway connection before but now you mention it, yeah. There's a few reported sightings up near the old Dundee to Forfar line that closed decades ago and I always just...
Right so this is the kind of thing I absolutely love reading about on here because dogs are genuinely one of the best indicators we have for this stuff.
@happy_drifter the high altitude lake theory is interesting actually. Loch Lomond isn't far from me and I've heard a few odd reports over the years, nothing I've personally witnessed but still.

Railway lines are interesting because they follow really old routes, a lot of them built over drovers roads or even older tracks that go back centuries.
Been mulling this over for a while actually. Up here in Scotland we don't get the Dogman reports the same way the US does but I've been following the American cases closely and the railroad...
Mate the tree line detail is what gets me every time - that's basically a classic staging point for whatever these things are, I've logged three separate sightings near woodland edges in...

@ArcaneInverness that's almost certainly capacitive interference from your own body tensing up slightly when you speak - your muscles generate low-level EMF and if your gain is cranked up it'll...
Not familiar with Dugway specifically but we had something similar over Dartmoor a couple years back, small unmarked restriction zone appeared on the maps for about 3 weeks then just vanished.
@JumpyCrow honestly laughing at "five-star hotel for shadow entities" but you're not wrong.
Has anyone actually gone back and looked at the original eyewitness accounts from 1969 and compared them to what people have reported seeing more recently?
Been noticing this more and more lately tbh. Did a session out in a barn near Clitheroe a few weeks back and asked "how many of you are here" and got back what sounds like...
Right so this is exactly why I stick to main roads after dark now. I had something almost identical happen on the B3306 out near St Just about two years ago.
