Anyone else getting weird static bursts right after asking a question during EVP sessions?

Yeah this happens to me pretty regularly. Had a session last month in an old warehouse in Digbeth and basically every time I asked something direct I got this sharp burst of static right after, like a few seconds delay. Not white noise, more like interference from something close to the recorder.

What gets me is it doesnt happen randomly throughout the session, its almost always question-response shaped if that makes sense. Like whatever it is understands the format.

Could be EMF spikes triggering the recorder obviously, but I've run sessions with an EMF meter alongside and the spikes don't always line up. So I dunno.

Anyone tried using a faraday cage or shielded recorder to rule out interference from your own kit? Curious whether the static still shows up when you eliminate teh obvious stuff. Would love to compare notes on this because I think theres something real here worth digging into properly.

@ArcaneInverness that's almost certainly capacitive interference from your own body tensing up slightly when you speak - your muscles generate low-level EMF and if your gain is cranked up it'll bleed into the recording. Try positioning yourself at least a metre from the device and see if the pattern holds.
