Anyone else's EVP recordings sound completely different on playback than what you heard in the room?
Happens to me constantly and it does my head in honestly. Record something in a room that sounds dead quiet, get home, stick the headphones on and there's all this layered noise I swear wasn't...

The Dog That Walked on Two Legs: The Beast of Busco Woods and the Night Indiana Held Its Breath
Mates, if a giant turtle managed to tank an entire town's economy and sanity before disappearing without a trace, that's honestly more impressive than if it had just been real.

Anyone else tried recording EVP in an old hospital? Got some weird results last night
Did this at Prestwich Hospital ruins back in 2022 and honestly got one of the clearest Class A captures I've ever had - a voice just saying "get out" plain as day, no ambiguity about it.

Did anyone else notice the cell towers went dark right before the Maui fires started?
Right so I'm usually the first to roll my eyes at this kind of thing but I did actually go down this rabbit hole a while back and the cell tower angle is worth at least looking at properly before...

Anyone else's poltergeist activity spike during a full moon or is that just me?
Never noticed it with poltergeist stuff personally but I've definitely caught more interesting EVP during full moons, which is probably just confirmation bias but still makes you wonder if theres...

Anyone else seen a jet black squirrel around the Ozarks? Third time this month
Solid explanation @ScruffySentinel, though I'll be honest black squirrels round here in Manchester are basically everywhere now so the novelty wore off for me years ago - still cool that you're...

Taken from the Forest: The Night a Kentucky Family Watched Their Neighbour Disappear Into the Sky
Quiet note for any newcomers stumbling onto this thread - Kelly-Hopkinsville is the case to start with, genuinely one of the most bulletproof in the catalogue.

What paranormal stuff would actually convince you?
I'd want reproducible evidence. That's it. Something that happens consistently under controlled conditions.

Has anyone tried the 'spirit box' technique? Is it legitimate or just white noise pareidolia?
That said, if you want to experiment, start with a cheap £30 one off Amazon first. See if you get anything interesting before investing properly.

Something woke me up on the Yorkshire moors last month and I still don't know what it was
This happened about five weeks ago (early November) on the moors near Hebden Bridge. I was staying in a mate's cottage for a walking weekend - just me, him, and his partner.

Dark nights are officially here - what's your go-to paranormal investigation snack?
Flask of tea, packet of Rich Tea biscuits, and a flask of soup if it's really cold. Keeps you warm from the inside out. Never understood people doing investigations without proper provisions.
