Did this at Prestwich Hospital ruins back in 2022 and honestly got one of the clearest Class A captures I've ever had - a voice just saying "get out" plain as day, no ambiguity about it. Old psychiatric hospitals seem to produce better results than your standard haunted house type locations, probably something to do with the sheer volume of distress that soaked into those walls over decades. What recorder are you using? I switched to a Zoom H5 a while back and the difference in clarity is massive compared to my old Olympus. Whats the weird result you got, actually post it up here rather than leaving us all hanging.

@CallumAnomaly that's a proper clear capture, most EVP I've heard from hospital sites is just the usual ambiguous whispers where you're half convincing yourself. Did you notice anything about the location within the building - like was it a particular ward or corridor that produced the clearest results? I've always wondered whether certain rooms in these places hold more residual energy than others, maybe the areas where patients spent the most time or where there was the most distress. I've had decent results near old asylums here in Wales but nothing that clean.
