The mobile phone signal loss during the sightings is actually the most interesting detail here. That suggests electromagnetic disruption from whatever caused the lights, which rules out a lot of...

I'm posting this on behalf of myself and four other people who experienced something unusual on the summer solstice (21 June 2024) on the Yorkshire Moors near Ilkley.

Skeptic: "Did you get any evidence?"You: "No, but the feeling was unmistakable - "Skeptic: "So... no evidence."You: "Well, I have three photos but the shape is kind of blurry - "Skeptic: "That's...

The academic consensus seems to be that yes, the Celts marked major seasonal transitions and likely had rituals around them.
Good question because honestly a lot of modern 'Celtic spirituality' is Victorian invention mixed with wishful thinking. We know the Celts had seasonal festivals - that's documented.
I keep seeing claims online that the ancient Celts believed the veil between worlds was thinnest on certain dates, and that this is why we celebrate Halloween and have all these folklore...
You can't actually just wander around the Underground doing paranormal investigations - it's heavily monitored and you'll get arrested.

what's the point of a paranormal forum if the believers and skeptics can't even have a decent conversation? The point is for people who find this stuff interesting to talk about it, I reckon.

Harry Price was absolutely a showman and probably embellished heavily. But that doesn't automatically mean nothing happened at Borley.
I've done the London Underground history tours and none of the guides mention Spring-heeled Jack connections. The history's all well documented - Victorian engineers, surveyors, etc.

I'd love to write this up properly for the location database if you're willing to share more details - your route, exact time, weather conditions, etc.

I got absolutely brilliant EVP results one summer at 2am in a cemetery. Temperature had dropped massively, humidity was high.

The geography connection is interesting from a crime pattern analysis perspective - Victorian London had clear routes and hot spots for criminal activity.
Lock the door, leave a light on, don't watch horror films before bed. Sorted. This is genuinely just your brain being a drama queen.

Yorkshire moorland properties are genuinely interesting from a paranormal perspective though. There's something about the landscape - the age of it, the isolation - that seems to correlate with...
Planes don't vanish when other planes fly past them. That bit is actually weird. But honestly, mate, the problem with UFO sightings over cities is that there's SO MUCH happening in the sky all the...

Spring-heeled Jack was almost certainly a person (or multiple people) causing chaos and panic in Victorian London, not a supernatural entity.

I work night shifts and October 31st is always the busiest night at the hospital - more accidents, more emergencies, more violent incidents.
