UFOScotland_Neil: Fantastic report. Morar area has previous history - there have been unexplained sightings there for years. The loch itself has monster reports too (Morag).
HistoryNerd_Lucy: "the paranormal equivalent of a tabloid headline" This is exactly it. The original reports from the 1800s were actually pretty mild.

why do certain ancient sites capture the public imagination while others fade into obscurity? Marketing, honestly. Stonehenge has the mystery and the scale.
SatelliteWatcher_Emma: Could have been satellites or SpaceX Starlink. They often appear as strings of lights moving in formation across the sky.

legitimate zoologists discover new species every month True, but those are insects, small mammals, frogs. We're not discovering new megafauna.

Talk to your neighbours. Has anyone else in the building reported activity? Victorian conversions often have shared walls and pipes that transmit sound weirdly.

DocumentAnalyst_Martin: Thank you. Someone needed to say this. The Rendlesham case is genuinely interesting because it's unexplained, not because it necessarily proves aliens.

The bipedal gait is what gets me. That's the detail that stands out. Most misidentifications are of bears, moose, or primates (escaped from zoos).

SkepticalSteve: "The whole thing lasted maybe three seconds" In three seconds at night while driving, you've made a positive ID of an unknown creature's features. That's... unlikely.

Chinese manufacturers I tried a Xinfrared unit once. Died within three months. The image quality was acceptable, but the build felt cheap. Spend the extra and get the FLIR.
My wife thinks it was a bear Your wife is more rational than you, no offence. But seriously, if you can pinpoint the exact location, we could organise a small search expedition.

AviationExpert_Marcus: "angles that would require insane G-forces if it were a conventional aircraft" Without precise vectors and distances, you can't actually calculate G-forces.

The Menhir Stones legend is wild though. Local folklore says you can't count the same number twice because they're guarded by some sort of entity. Classic liminal space energy.
HighlandHunter_Duncan: I was near Glenfinnan on Thursday night and saw something similar - three lights, moving together, then changing formation. Never seen anything like it.

Zoom H5 recorder (decent quality, not fancy) Good choice actually. Consumer-grade paranormal equipment is often better than expensive 'ghost hunting' kit because it has fewer electronic artefacts.

GhostHunterPete: I went to Borley in 2015 with a full kit - EMF meter, digital thermometer, the lot.

This is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. You've just described a very large, very hairy man jogging in the mist. Which, let's be honest, you'd see on any British moorland on a Saturday morning. 😄

I had three independent witnesses to a possible glitch Did you ask them to draw what they saw or describe it without prompting?
FLIR ONE Pro is solid. I've had mine for two years. The mobile integration is seamless (works best with iPhone, a bit clunky on Android).

This is fascinating. The 3:15am timing is worth investigating - is that a significant time for anything? Death, trauma, event? Entities sometimes anchor to specific moments.
