Anyone else record audio of glitches? Recording techniques thread

I've been experimenting with ultra-sensitive audio recorders to capture what I reckon are simulation 'stutters' - those weird moments where reality seems to skip or repeat. I had three independent witnesses to a possible glitch in Piccadilly Circus station last month (11:47 PM, 14 seconds of what felt like time looping), and I managed to capture something odd on a Zoom H6 recorder I borrowed.

The audio file has these strange digital artifacts that don't match any known interference patterns. I'm wondering if anyone else has tried recording these moments and what equipment they've used.

Obviously this sounds mad when you type it out, but I'm genuinely curious about the technical side. What's your recording setup? Are you using directional mics? Filtering out electrical noise first?

This is actually clever. Most glitch documentation relies on eyewitness testimony, so having audio data is a step up. What exactly did the digital artifacts sound like? If you're willing to share the file, some of the lads in the 'Audio Analysis' Discord might take a look - they're quite good at distinguishing real anomalies from interference.

Mate, you need to get a proper microphone preamp if you're serious about this. The Zoom H6's built-in preamps are decent but they'll pick up EMF interference from the Underground's electrical systems. You want something shielded, probably USB condenser with a separate audio interface. Costs about £150-200 but worth it for clean recordings.

Piccadilly Circus is a nightmare for interference anyway - the Circle, District, and Piccadilly lines all run through there plus all the overhead wiring for the ads. How did you rule out that the artifacts were just from the environment? This seems like classic confirmation bias to me.

Check out the Tascam DR-100mkIII if you've got the budget (around £200). Much better isolation than the Zoom, and it's what some serious paranormal investigators use. Though I'll be honest, if you're in the Underground most anomalies are just tube noise.

Did you ask them to draw what they saw or describe it without prompting? Because once you plant the idea that time might have looped, people's memories get weird. We did this experiment at uni - suggestive questioning completely changes witness statements.
