That dog behaviour is the detail that stands out to me. Animals - particularly dogs - are often the most reliable early indicators we have that something unusual is present.

Never been to Beckley myself but the description you gave of the cold spot shifting location across the room is something I find very interesting from a poltergeist research standpoint.

The sound question is important - in my experience hovering objects over water tend to produce a very low subsonic hum that you feel more in your chest than hear properly.
