Hi everyone, I'm new here. My name's Claire and I've been interested in paranormal stuff for ages, but I mostly kept it to myself because, well, you don't exactly bring it up down the pub, do you?
Completely agree with you though. The 'demonic possession' posts that read like they're from a horror movie are taking the piss.
Upload the footage to the evidence archive and we can have a proper look. That said - chevron formation, slow movement, no sound - that's actually pretty classic for either a military exercise or...

Another sceptic! Brilliant. Though I should warn you - most of what you'll find on these forums is either hoaxes, misidentifications, or people who've had too much cider at a country pub.

All this equipment and none of you have actually captured definitive evidence of anything paranormal.

The pressure in chest and dizziness could also be altitude sickness if you're not used to it, even though Pendle's not that high.

Posted this on my Instagram stories but figured I should get proper input from actual investigators rather than randoms on social media.Saturday night, around 22:45, near Glencoe in the Scottish...
Seek Thermal user here. Bought mine for £179 last year. It's good enough for what I use it for (checking whether draughts in old buildings could explain temperature drops), but the resolution is...

Pendle Hill's got loads of reported activity, mostly centered around the witch trial history. But I need to ask - were you alone and at night?

I was trying to find a good, properly sourced book on paranormal investigation methodology and I was absolutely overwhelmed with entertainment-focused books - you know the type, dramatic...
The one that gets me is when documentaries film paranormal investigators and always - always - cut to b-roll of them looking 'confused' or 'spooked.' Meanwhile they're just having a normal...

This is exactly the kind of practical advice this forum should have more of. Cheers for sharing the design. I'll give it a go when I've got time. Worst case, I learn something about electronics.
Obviously fake posts - the problem is defining 'obvious.' What you think is clearly bullshit might be someone's genuine experience filtered through their own biases and understanding.

Here's my take: if you're spending three grand on equipment hoping to catch spectral evidence, you're doing it wrong.

Marcus, mate, you're gonna fit right in. We've got everything from hardcore believers to outright cynics, and honestly that's what makes this community work.

Right, so I was watching the news this morning and they had a segment about UFO sightings in the Cotswolds.

You're not wrong. I've noticed it too. The mods are volunteers though and we're getting absolutely hammered with moderation requests.

I know I should probably have thought this through better before going to Pendle Hill alone at night but I genuinely didn't expect... anything to happen.
I've been a member here for about three years now and I genuinely value this community. We've got some brilliant investigators, genuine historical documentation, and a good balance between healthy...
I've got the FLIR C3 (older model, cost me about £1,500 on eBay) and honestly? It's brilliant for general investigation work but it's not a ghost-detecting device, if that's what you're hoping...
