I've been reading a lot of conflicting advice on EMF metres and honestly I'm getting frustrated. Some people swear by them, some say they're complete nonsense that just pick up mobile signals and...
They just wheel out the debunkers. THIS. And the debunkers are always the same three or four academics who've clearly never actually done the work. They've read papers about it.

Brilliant to have sceptics onboard - keeps us honest. Fair warning though: once you've had a genuine experience, it's weird because you can't fully go back to scepticism but you also can't commit...

Rendlesham is complicated because some of it might have been explainable (lighthouse beam, unusual weather) but some of the witness testimony suggests something genuinely beyond normal...
The US government is slowly becoming more transparent about this stuff because they can't control the narrative anymore.

Genuine question: I watch these ghost hunting shows sometimes (usually because my wife puts them on) and I'm absolutely gobsmacked by the kit these people use.

Some people suggest past-life memories or genuine premonition, but honestly if you could find the actual location that would be interesting.

You're not alone at all - there's loads of us who stumbled into this because of personal experience rather than lifelong belief. I'd say maybe 40% of this community got here the same way.

Thermal imaging is brilliant but you need to understand what you're looking at first. Most hauntings don't register thermally because they're not physical enough - you're looking for temperature...

I've seen some secondhand FLIR units going but I'm worried about reliabilityFair shout, but honestly thermal cameras are pretty hardy. Just check the battery contacts aren't corroded.

FLIR E8 or E50 if you can stretch to £1500 second-hand. Honestly worth the extra. I bought mine off eBay three years ago and it's still going strong.

Recurring dreams about unfamiliar places are actually pretty common and usually psychological - your brain creating consistent scenery because it's easier than generating randomness.

I actually spoke to a producer from Channel 4 last year about doing a feature on my EVP work. Spent three hours talking to her, showed her my best recordings, everything. The segment never aired.

The site is private land now I think? Check ownership before you visit. You don't want to get caught trespassing. But from a paranormal perspective, yeah, nothing to justify the hype these days.

Welcome! You're absolutely in the right place and genuinely, one of your biggest advantages is coming to this with scepticism.

What's more interesting is what's NOT in those files. If the MOD was genuinely tracking UAP sightings, there should be way more documentation than what they released.
I've been reading about the Rendlesham Forest incident (1980, RAF Bentwaters) and I'm genuinely confused about what the official story is versus what people claim happened. The RAF's official line...
