Recurring dreams about the same place—is this paranormal?

I know dreams aren't typically 'paranormal' but I'm genuinely spooked by this and need some perspective from people who might understand weird experiences.

For about three months now (since late July) I've been having incredibly vivid recurring dreams about a specific location. It's always the same place: a Victorian house with a particular green door and a garden with a specific layout. The dreams are detailed and consistent - the light's always the same, the interior arrangement's identical every time.

Here's the bit that's weird: I've never lived in a place like this, I don't recognise it, and I've never seen anything like it in any house I've visited. But the dreams are so vivid and recurring that it feels like memory rather than imagination. My girlfriend thinks I'm being silly but it genuinely unsettles me.

Is there any theory for this that goes beyond standard psychology? Has anyone experienced something similar?

Recurring dreams about unfamiliar places are actually pretty common and usually psychological - your brain creating consistent scenery because it's easier than generating randomness. The reason it feels like memory is because your brain IS treating it like memory internally, which is just how dreams work.

Some people suggest past-life memories or genuine premonition, but honestly if you could find the actual location that would be interesting. Have you tried reverse image searching or describing it to people on architecture forums? If it's based on something real, someone might recognise it.

If you're interested in non-standard explanations: place memory (idea that locations hold energy impressions), past-life regression, or genuine precognitive dreaming. But the boring explanation - just how brains process repetition - is more likely statistically.

Keep a dream journal. Write down every detail you remember immediately after waking. Sometimes patterns emerge that suggest the dreams are trying to tell you something, or sometimes you'll remember where you've seen something similar. Three months of detailed data is actually useful.

I had something similar years ago. Kept having dreams about a specific cottage in Wales. Turns out I'd seen it once as a kid and completely forgotten consciously, but my brain remembered it. Found the actual location years later and confirmed it matched my dreams. So maybe ask family if you visited anywhere unusual as a child?

There's also the theory that certain people are sensitive to places and pick up impressions even in dreams. If you ever find the location, visiting it might be interesting - see if you have any experiences there awake. Could be nothing, could be something.
