Borley Rectory is fascinating from a historical perspective (the whole Harry Price investigation, the alleged poltergeist phenomena in the 1930s) but I'm wondering if anyone's done any serious recent investigation work there.

The building's been gone for decades now, just the site remains in Essex. Is there any point investigating the location anymore without the actual structure? Or does residual activity supposedly linger even without the building?

I'm thinking about organising a visit next summer if there's any reason to believe something might still happen there. Anyone with recent experience?

The site's still accessible and you do get reports of odd activity, but honestly without the building it's much harder to investigate. Most activity was tied to the structure itself. That said, plenty of people report strange feelings at the location, which is interesting from a psychic sensitivity angle even if you don't capture anything paranormal.

Harry Price was largely debunked over time. His investigations were sensationalised and a lot of the 'phenomena' were either house settling, natural explanations, or honestly just made up for publication. Borley's a good place to visit for historical interest but I wouldn't expect paranormal activity.

There's a theory that if locations are genuinely haunted it's the land that matters, not the structure. So theoretically yes, something could still be happening there. Though in practice, without a building to investigate, what exactly are you measuring?

Honestly mate, Borley's become more legend than genuine haunted location. Go visit if you're curious historically, but there are far more active locations in the UK worth investigating. Pendle, Penshaw Monument, various London Underground tunnels - all better documented recent activity.

The site is private land now I think? Check ownership before you visit. You don't want to get caught trespassing. But from a paranormal perspective, yeah, nothing to justify the hype these days.
