Sleep paralysis can happen when you're not fully asleep, actually. Your conscious mind wakes up but your body hasn't finished the REM cycle where muscles are temporarily paralyzed.

This is actually fascinating because the London Underground has SO much documented paranormal activity. The Jubilee Line extension was built over plague pits.
Bigelow's interested in genuine research, though. He also funds the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program which produced some of the recent legitimate UFO documentation.
I think Rendlesham is interesting precisely because it's *not* easily explained away, but it's also not conclusive proof of anything extraordinary.
Did you get any photographs? That would be useful. Borley is complicated because of its history (hoaxes, confirmed fraud in the original investigations) but recent activity does seem genuine.

Each explanation seems designed to dismiss rather than actually account for what was observed Because "we don't know" isn't satisfying, so people craft explanations that fit their preferred...
But cattle mutilations *are* a documented phenomenon with a long history. Whether it's UFO-related or just predators/natural processes we've misunderstood, that's worth actual investigation.
Contact lenses, mate. Scleral contacts. They're mad expensive but some people get full black ones as a fashion thing.

See a GP first, no question. Rule out neurological issues, sleep disorders, medication side effects, anything medical. That's not being boring - that's being sensible.

Mate, London Underground after 6pm is basically a gateway between worlds. I'm not even joking. The light down there does something to people's perceptions.

Right, so I'm commuting home from work around 6:45pm on Tuesday evening, packed tube car at King's Cross, and I notice this bloke in a grey coat who's absolutely still. Like, unnaturally still.
I've investigated Borley multiple times and there IS ongoing activity there. Not just apparitions - physical phenomena.

The reason it's controversial is because people want certainty when certainty isn't available. Some people want to believe it's aliens because that's more exciting.

pale blue-green, maybe 1.5 meters off the ground That's the height of what people describe in other underground anomaly reports - the London reports from the 1950s-60s mentioned similar lights.
