Possible Borley Rectory activity—something in the grounds, late evening

This is going to sound strange, so bear with me. I was visiting the Borley Rectory ruins last month (November 23rd, around 7 PM, twilight) doing some amateur photography. I wasn't there specifically to investigate the paranormal, just taking autumn photographs of the ruins because they're atmospheric and photogenic.

I was alone, it was getting dark, and I noticed a shape in the overgrown garden area - humanoid, but the proportions were off. Too tall, or oddly proportioned. It was there for maybe 5 seconds, then it moved behind a tree and didn't come back out the other side. Not something I could have missed - I was watching.

I was alone. I'm fairly certain of what I saw. Not a person (wrong shape), not an animal (movement was upright and coordinated). The site is known for apparition reports, obviously, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had experiences there recently. Any rational explanations I should consider?

Borley Rectory is one of the most investigated paranormal sites in England, but a lot of the "activity" there is probably suggestion and imagination. The ruins are spooky, your brain is primed for weirdness, and twilight creates optical illusions constantly. Pareidolia is real.

There's still a lot of decay and overgrowth on the site, and it's not impossible that it hosts wildlife - deer, foxes, even escaped animals. An unusual silhouette in poor light could easily be misidentified. Not trying to debunk you, just suggesting mundane alternatives exist.

Too tall, or oddly proportioned
This is the most interesting detail. Can you describe the proportions more specifically? That would help narrow down whether this was something conventional or genuinely anomalous. Long limbs? Wrong head placement? Different body structure?

I've investigated Borley multiple times and there IS ongoing activity there. Not just apparitions - physical phenomena. Objects moving, sounds, and occasional reports of humanoid figures in the grounds. Most paranormal investigators avoid Borley now because it's become so commercialized, but the baseline activity is real.

Did you get any photographs? That would be useful. Borley is complicated because of its history (hoaxes, confirmed fraud in the original investigations) but recent activity does seem genuine. Your sighting fits the pattern of other recent reports from the grounds.
