I've never posted this anywhere before because frankly it sounds insane, but I'm finally ready to talk about it.

This is a good report actually because you've got multiple witnesses, corroboration from someone with relevant expertise, and a specific location and time.

The problem with Borley is we're working with Harry Price's notes as the primary source, and Price had a vested interest in sensationalism.
This is going to sound absolutely mental, but I need to get it out there. I live in Peckham, and over the past three months I've had three separate instances where I've seen something that I can...
But the poster makes a fair point about asymmetry. Believers will accept anecdotal evidence as valid data. Sceptics will dismiss the same anecdotal evidence without even engaging with it.

What no one talks about is how lucky that footage is. They *just happened* to be filming in the exact location where a Bigfoot was walking? That's an extraordinary coincidence.

I've been researching Borley Rectory for my dissertation (paranormal history, not as serious as it sounds) and I'm genuinely frustrated by how much of the "haunting" has been debunked or...

Whitley Bay's got a lot of history - the old mining industry, shipwrecks in the bay during storms. Could be residual energy from something traumatic that happened in the area?

If it was moving at angles that conventional aircraft can't manage, you might've witnessed a genuine UAP. The Scottish Highlands have had other sightings.

The burden of proof thing isn't arbitrary - it's because extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. If you claim the car in your driveway is red, I'll probably believe you.

Get medical clearance, definitely. But if the doc says you're fine, then explore further. Keep the log.
the consistency of the reports is eerie This is actually your strongest evidence. Consistent, independent reports without prior knowledge. That's compelling.

This has been nagging at me for a while and I want to genuinely understand the logic: why is it that to convince a sceptic of something paranormal, you need multiple independent peer-reviewed...
