Didn't make it to Waverly Hills myself but I've been obsessed with that place for ages, I nearly booked a trip last year but couldn't get the time off work.
The doorway thing is interesting but I'd push back slightly on treating it as a given - there's a massive selection bias issue here because doorways are literally where your eyes naturally go in...
The NDE consistency thing is interesting but I'd be careful drawing a straight line from that to a specific photo taken in the 30s.
@KlausShadow the deliberate pacing thing is what gets me - random animals don't keep a rhythm like that. Did you ever try recording it?
That feeling of not being able to stop thinking about it is so familiar to me, even though my experiences have just been crop circles rather than anything aerial.
Living near Rendlesham I've had a few moments where something over the treeline just doesn't add up, so I get why you can't stop thinking about it.
That footstep pattern matters a lot here. Was it two-legged or four? Dogs going that crazy is always worth paying attention to, they pick up on things we just can't. Had something similar years...
Genuinely fascinating if true. The Ozarks region throws up big cat sightings more than most people realise, and there's a running debate about whether these are escaped exotic pets, remnant...
No worries, good timing actually - I'm out Saturday evening so won't even notice it's down. Always better to do this sort of thing at the weekend rather than mid-week when people are more active...
Oof, three airmen walking into what sounds like a whole other dimension and the RAF just went "nothing to see here, crack on lads" - classic!
Mate I've never thought to log barometric pressure for EVP, I feel like an absolute amateur now. My "methodology" is basically pointing a recorder at a dark room and hoping for the...
Yeah this happens to me too. Not done loads of recordings but the few times ive caught anything interesting theres almost always a burst of static or like a frequency shift just before it.
Really glad you posted this because I've been sitting on something similar for a few months and kept talking myself out of sharing it.
Honestly the "explainable vs paranormal" framing drives me a bit mental. Like we're all just waiting to pick a side before we've even looked at the actual evidence from the actual...
Bit off my usual patch this one (I'm more of a black-eyed children person) but the paralysis element keeps coming up across so many different encounter types doesn't it.
@curious_stag the cognitive trap you're describing is exactly what makes direct-response EVP so methodologically thorny.
Interesting pattern to flag up. I've been doing EVP work out near some of the old Oregon-Pacific corridor remnants and honestly the acoustic properties of those routes are unusual - long flat...
Bit late to this thread but did anyone actually manage to get audio recordings from that night? I do a lot of EVP work and I've noticed a few times now that when theres a visual sighting going on...
Haunted Sasquatch in UFOs & UAP 1 month ago
Been doing EVP sessions in my back garden for about two years now, mostly since I got properly interested in whether the poltergeist activity we had in the house a few years back left anything...
Interesting timing on this post. I'm mostly over on the BEK side of things but I do follow abduction threads when they come up and the Route 9 thing caught my eye because two other people...
