Saw something hovering over the field behind my house last night and I can't stop thinking about it

Really glad you posted this because I've been sitting on something similar for a few months and kept talking myself out of sharing it. Mine was over a field near Hucknall, just this low silent shape that held position for way too long before moving off in a direction that didn't make any kind of sense for a drone or aircraft.

The bit that gets me with these sightings is the hovering. Drones hover but they're noisy and you can usually spot the lights on the arms. What you're describing sounds different to that. Did you notice any sound at all, or was it completely silent? And roughly how high would you say it was - treetop level or higher up?

Would love to hear more detail before people start throwing explanations at it. What time was it and how long did you actually watch it for?

@ForestDark Hucknall is interesting actually, there's been a cluster of low-altitude sightings around that area going back to the 90s that never got proper attention. The "low and silent" combination is the thing that separates genuine UAP encounters from conventional aircraft misidentification, because anything that size moving that slowly should be making noise. How low are we talking? Below treeline? And was there any sense of it being aware of you, like that classic feeling of being observed that witnesses keep describing - the ones who don't know each other and still use almost identical language. Please don't talk yourself out of posting the full account. The Nottinghamshire corridor doesn't get nearly enough documentation.
