Pretty sure the landing strip theory got laughed out of serious discussion years ago but I still find it interesting that nobody's fully agreed on what they actually were.

@HamishPhillips the structured sounds thing is interesting but lets be honest, if I was an invisible entity haunting a child I'd probably also develop a bit of a rhythm to it.
