The fact that they disappeared instantly rather than moving over the horizon is actually quite interesting. That's harder to fake than the lantern crowd want to admit.
Proper discussion welcome. No "it's all made up" dismissals without evidence Right, but the burden of proof is on the people claiming paranormal activity, not on sceptics.
You're right to be skeptical about your own findings, that's good practice. Here's the thing though: EMF meters aren't actually proven to detect ghosts.
The gait argument is nonsense. You know what has an unusual gait sometimes? Men in ape suits. The burden of proof is on the people claiming it's a real unknown primate, not on the skeptics.
Dead phone at the time? Convenient. Could be electromagnetic interference, or could be coincidence. Did the phone come back on properly afterwards, or was it just flat?
