Has anyone else noticed more Dogman sightings near the Great Lakes lately?

Not really my area but I've been following the Dogman stuff with interest lately. Most of what I read seems to cluster around Michigan and Wisconsin but I hadn't spotted a particular uptick near the Lakes specifically - is that a recent thing or has it always been concentrated there?

What's drawing people to report it more now, do you think? Like is it that more people are out in those areas, or genuinely more encounters? I always wonder with these spikes whether its a media contagion thing where one story gets shared and suddenly everyone's seeing the same creature, or whether something real is actually shifting.

Would be curious if anyone has firsthand accounts rather than just secondhand reports. The secondhand stuff is interesting but it gets muddied so quickly as it passes around.

Bit outside my wheelhouse as someone who mostly reads about black-eyed kids, but I did fall down a Great Lakes Dogman rabbit hole at about 2am last week and genuinely regretted it. My main takeaway is that whatever is supposedly lurking around Lake Michigan has absolutely no respect for how much sleep I need on a work night. @SomersetB

Yeah there's definitely been a clustering effect along the southern shoreline of Lake Michigan specifically - Berrien County in Michigan keeps popping up in the reports I've been tracking. What I find interesting is how many of the witnesses describe the same detail about the gait, that loping run where the front limbs touch down briefly. Doesn't match any known predator in the region. I drove through that area a couple years back and honestly the terrain around those dune forests is dense enough that something sizeable could move around without being spotted regularly. Not saying I buy all of it but the consistency across unrelated witness accounts is the part that gets my attention.

Berrien County keeps coming up in these reports and it always gives me the creeps, something about that stretch of shoreline just feels wrong on the maps alone. Makes you wonder if the water itself is some kind of attractor - I've seen similar clustering patterns with UK big cat sightings near river systems down here in Somerset.
