Triangular craft over Manchester last night - three witnesses, broad daylight
Fellow Manchester resident here. Did you happen to notice any electromagnetic interference? Mobile signals dropping out, streetlights flickering?

EVP recording - real phenomenon or auditory pareidolia?
There's a book called 'Talking to the Dead' (or something similar) that goes into the science. The short version: EVP recording is basically a form of modern divination.

How to properly investigate historical hauntings – avoiding the tourist trap factor
Right, I've done investigations at Pendle Hill, Pendle Castle, Pendle Museum, and about fifteen other 'haunted' locations across Lancashire and Yorkshire, and I've noticed a pattern: the places...

Does anyone else find the sceptics on this forum actually more entertaining than the believers?
I've been lurking on Quirk Reports for about three years now, and I genuinely think our resident sceptics - you know who you are - are providing a far better service to this community than the...

Bodmin Moor Beast vs. Scottish Highland activity—anyone tracking both?
I've been running a database of Highlands sightings for three years. Happy to share data if you're serious about this.

FOIA request finally came through - Porton Down file on 'aerial phenomena' (1976-1982)
This is brilliant work getting it released at all. The redactions are almost worse than nothing because now you're left wondering what they're hiding.

That viral clip from over Bodmin last week - is it genuine or CGI?
I've had a look. The video's interesting but not conclusive. What stands out is the consistency of the light reflections on what appears to be a solid object - that's actually quite hard to fake...

Rendlesham Forest 1980 - garrison personnel testimonies now public
You're all missing the obvious bit: if it WAS human technology, why haven't we developed that capability in the forty-odd years since?

Best budget ghost hunting kit under £300 - what actually works?
You're absolutely right that most paranormal equipment is overpriced garbage marketed to believers rather than skeptics.

Enhancing that Rendlesham Forest footage - genuine artefact or compression error?
Good post. I've been saying this for years. People enhance the footage, introduce their own artifacts, then point at those artifacts as evidence. It's confirmation bias dressed up as analysis.

Pendle Hill Lancashire - something woke up there in October
Next time you go (and you WILL go again, curiosity always wins), take a proper EMF meter. Costs about £25-40 quid on Amazon.

Red orb spotted over Scottish Highlands - Fort William area, 8th November evening
Could be a Chinese lantern. They drift slowly, can look reddish-orange, and the pulsing could be the flame flickering.

Newbie here - had a strange encounter last Halloween and still thinking about it
Like someone in a costume, but my mate swears it moved in ways a human couldn't.Classic misidentification: someone literally was in a costume (Halloween was happening, after all), and adrenaline...

Ghost hunters vs estate agents—who's worse at describing properties?
"Spiritual energy" and "needs some TLC" are basically the same thing, aren't they? Both mean "this place is a money pit but we're hoping you won't notice until you've signed the paperwork."

Possible creature sighting on London Underground, November - what was that?
This is interesting because the Underground has some genuinely cryptozoological reputation. There's been decades of anecdotal reports about 'tunnel creatures' - usually dismissed as rats or...
