That viral clip from over Bodmin last week - is it genuine or CGI?

You've probably all seen the video that went viral on TikTok and got picked up by the tabloids - the one shot on the 14th of November showing some kind of craft over Bodmin, Cornwall. It's a pretty decent piece of footage, about 90 seconds long, shows what looks like a triangular object with lights rotating underneath.

I've been doing some basic analysis (I'm not a video expert, just interested) and I've got some observations: the lighting is consistent with night sky conditions for that date and time, the object maintains steady altitude relative to the camera, and the movements seem physically possible rather than jerky like bad CGI. But I'm probably missing loads.

Has anyone with actual video analysis experience looked at this properly? Is it worth taking seriously or is it another Instagram hoax? The original poster claims they're an amateur astronomer and have equipment specs, which seems legit but I might be naive.

I've had a look. The video's interesting but not conclusive. What stands out is the consistency of the light reflections on what appears to be a solid object - that's actually quite hard to fake convincingly. The camera work is steady enough that it could be genuine handheld footage. That said, you can't definitively rule out high-end CGI or a well-made model filmed properly.

The original poster deleted their account the day after posting, which is suspicious. Genuine witnesses usually stick around to answer questions.

I've seen this. The file metadata was supposedly scrubbed, which is odd. If someone genuinely caught something on their mobile, the metadata would normally still be there unless they deliberately removed it. That's a red flag for either a hoax or the poster being dodgy about their location.

The triangular shape is interesting because that matches several documented UAP reports from the past decade. There's a pattern with triangular objects appearing over southwest England specifically - Bodmin, Exmoor, that area. Whether it's the same phenomenon or just coincidence I couldn't say.

Honestly, viral video analysis is pointless. If it's real, the authorities already know. If it's fake, we're just watching someone's creative project. The interesting cases are the ones that don't go viral - the ones where multiple credible witnesses report something and it stays local.

Could someone with proper video forensics skills take a proper look? There's got to be someone on Quirk Reports with that background. Frame-by-frame analysis, looking at compression artifacts, checking for tells that indicate CGI rendering. That would settle it.
