Right, I know these posts come in thick and fast, but I've got to document this properly because it was absolutely mental. Thursday 14th March, approximately 7:45 PM, myself, my partner, and our mate Dave were having a fag outside the Tesco on Deansgate when we all clocked it at the same time.

Black triangle, maybe 200 feet across, completely silent, moving at an impossible angle for any conventional aircraft. Took about 90 seconds to traverse the entire sky from southeast to northwest. No navigation lights, no sound whatsoever. Dave got his mobile out but hands were shaking too much for decent footage.

I've watched a lot of flight paths over Manchester. This was not normal. Anyone else see anything similar in the northwest last night?

Mate, you probably saw a military aircraft. There's Chinooks over Manchester constantly. Black, triangular shape, easy mistake to make. The 'no sound' bit is just because you were probably far away and the Doppler effect means you hear it later than you see it.

Why did Dave's hands shake so much then? 😏 Sounds like whatever it was made people nervous on a subconscious level. That's classic close encounter behaviour. You should report this to MUFON UK.

How many exactly? What's your background? Because without proper training in aircraft identification, confirmation bias is going to play a massive role here. I'm not being rude, just saying - most of these sightings have mundane explanations once you actually look into them.

Fellow Manchester resident here. Did you happen to notice any electromagnetic interference? Mobile signals dropping out, streetlights flickering? I ask because I've been tracking anomalies in the Greater Manchester area for three years and there's definitely a pattern.
