Yeah I clocked that. Pulled up the NOTAM and the restricted airspace went up with basically no notice and lasted nearly 72 hours, which is longer than your typical scheduled test window.
The summer solstice event gets absolutely rammed with people - thousands if the weather's good. Winter solstice is quieter but freezing cold and often overcast.
If you do want to go the recording route, a Wyze camera (about £25) with infrared is actually decent. The image quality is grainy in IR mode but it's cheap, reliable, and has good time-stamping.
There was activity reported over Bodmin about a month ago. Did you get any video? The detail about the acceleration is crucial - that rules out most conventional explanations.
