The landing strip theory is about as well-supported as anything else we've got, which is to say, not very.
Never been to Ohio myself but jet black foxes are genuinely fascinating and not as impossible as people assume.
@BrandiApparition exactly, and that's the bit that always shuts down the "mass hysteria" argument for me.
Never been to Hendricks mill myself, I'm down in Dorset so a bit far, but shadow figures in old industrial buildings is something I've been looking into for a while now.
Genuinely noticed this myself last month, went out to Netley Abbey on the full moon with my mate Dave and we got more responses in two hours than we'd had in the previous six sessions combined.
@edward_ward mate the Mothman flap here in '66-'67 tracked almost perfectly along the old C&O rail corridor, so yeah, something's definitely going on with these old routes and whatever decides...
Not my area geographically (I'm in Leeds) but big black cat sightings follow a very similar pattern worldwide and that pattern is worth paying attention to.
Cheers for the heads up, mods. I'll make sure to save any long posts I'm working on locally before the weekend, last time a site went down mid-post I lost about three paragraphs of field notes and...

Had something odd happen back in 2019, not far from Warton Aerodrome actually. Saw three amber lights doing slow movements over the fields, nothing like conventional aircraft.
Never been to Ohio myself but this thread caught my eye. Places like old sanitariums are interesting because the history does a lot of the heavy lifting before you even walk through the door -...

Cheers for the heads up - always better to know in advance rather than just getting a blank screen and wondering if the site's gone for good.
Mate, a hovering light over a cornfield is basically the universe sending you a personalised invitation to have a complete meltdown, and honestly I respect it. Did you manage to get any photos?
