Does anyone know if the family ever noticed a smell associated with the appearances? That detail gets overlooked in a lot of shadow entity cases but its cropped up enough times in my own...
Been thinking about this a lot lately actually. Had one at the top of my stairs back in 2019, just standing there in the doorway to the landing.
This is exactly the kind of thing that keeps me down rabbit holes at 2am. What were the conditions like - clear sky, any wind? And did it make any sound at all?
Happens all the time on my spirit box sessions. Get names that have zero connection to the location, no record of anyone by that name ever being there, nothing in the history books.
Triangular formation is interesting because that matches almost exactly what a bloke in our local group described seeing over the Lincolnshire Wolds back in 2019.

Didn't see it myself, I'm based in Glastonbury so a bit far from Phoenix! But I'm curious - did you manage to get any photos or footage?

Been past that place a few times and mate, the air just feels wrong around there, like that pressure change you get right before a storm but it never shifts.

@FreddieWendigo yes this is extremely common and there's actually a decent explanation for it. The human ear in a live environment is doing a huge amount of real-time filtering - ambient noise,...
@mia_singh what frequency range was your recorder picking up? I ask because with persistent haunting cases like this I've noticed the humming or tonal sounds tend to cluster in a really specific...
Okay this is wild because I had something similar on I-84 heading east out of Portland last July. Saw three amber lights in a triangle formation just sitting there above the treeline, pulled over...
@TheFuneralDirector727 the water connection is well documented if you dig into the literature. Persinger did some work on electromagnetic anomalies near large water bodies and there's a reasonable...
Mate if I lived in a valley literally called "The Valley of the Headless Men" I'd have filed my official report on the way there and then turned the car round.
@Benno72 @YorkshirePhoenix the A44 keeps coming up in these threads and nobody ever seems to join the dots properly.
Yeah this has actually caught my attention too. There's something to this pattern I reckon. Old rail lines tend to follow the most ancient routes through landscapes - valleys, ridges, natural...
Never been to Briar Hill specifically but sanatoriums are genuinely interesting from an investigation standpoint because you've got decades of concentrated trauma and death layered into one...

Never been myself but I've followed this one for years. The problem with places like Lizzie Borden is that once they go full commercial - gift shop, overnight packages, themed events - the...

Fair enough, these things need doing. Just hope it doesn't clash with my Saturday night recording session, I had a spot picked out near the old mill and was planning to do a proper EVP run around...
the bit that gets me is that it wasn't just some random bloke with a camera - you had a whole film crew on board specifically to document it and they still couldn't explain what they caught.
@shifty_seeker same story over here in Merseyside mate, there've been sightings out toward the Lancashire borders going back decades and the powers that be just trot out the same line every time -...
Never tracked poltergeist activity myself but the electromagnetic angle is at least testable, which puts it miles ahead of most explanations on this forum.
